In Dr. Angela Book's lab, I worked as a Research Assistant (RA) on a SSHRC- funded project. I was responsible for gathering research materials, assisting in data collection, and coding participant responses.

Teaching Assistant

While studying at Brock University, I was employed as a Teaching Assistant for several forensic and social/personality psychology courses. My responsibilities for these positions typically involved hosting and facilitating seminars, communicating with students via Microsoft Teams and email, and marking assessment points (e.g., forum posts, assignments, essays).

Teaching Assistant

During my time at Trent University, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for various developmental/family psychology courses. My primary responsibilities involved marking essays/presentations, running seminars, and meeting with students. I also helped design, supervise, and grade examinations.

Research Assistant

As a research assistant under Dr. Geoff Navara, I was responsible for reviewing the relevant literature and synthesizing the results from past findings into a reference document. I also helped to write and edit the ethics protocol and other supplementary materials (i.e., letters of informed consent, interview protocols, etc.). Finally, I provided input on the proposed research design.

Writing Coach/Peer Tutor

I worked as a writing coach and peer tutor at Lakehead University's Academic Support Zone. As a writing coach, I worked one-on-one with undergraduate students to review their essays and written assignments and highlight areas for improvement and continued learning. I also acted as a peer tutor, aiding students in understanding concepts and terminology for various psychology courses.
