Data Engineer/Business Intelligence Developer

I use a variety of technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server stack (e.g., SSMS, SSIS) and TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV) to extract data from a wide variety of sources and transform the results into a form suitable for warehousing and reporting. I am currently immersed in a data migration project to support an upgrade to a new front end application. I create reporting data sources that can either be accessed directly by users for their own analyses or by reports or dashboards that I have built to meet user needs. I focus on data modelling and solution design at the start of any project to ensure that the result will be fit for purpose. I enjoy working closely with end users to understand their requirements and find it hugely rewarding to deliver solutions that make a real difference to their daily working lives.

I specialise in streamlining processes for the collection, analysis and reporting of data, evaluating the benefits of different software and techniques to get the best from our data.
