Mentee (Youth Creative Mentorship Program)

Took part in a youth creative mentorship program where I was one of four selected emerging creators, where I assisted in producing new documentary storytelling works that were later exhibited as part of the City of Toronto Cultural Hotspot Signature Project. My community story on Scarborough Cycles was also exhibited, amongst other photos, in a physical installation on Cedarbrae Library.

Data Analyst (OIP Intern)

As part of the 2019 cohort of the Ontario Internship Program, I was one of nine successful applicants placed in the I&IT focus stream. As a Data Analytics Intern, I worked with the Services and Finance Unit in the Program Management Branch, responsible for the delivery of financial and IT services of the Province's heavy-duty diesel emission testing program (formerly known as Drive Clean). I utilized an array of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx Designer, and Microsoft Excel to create, analyze and validate data to provide program statistics to support management in regulatory amendments and perform self-serve analytics. I also provided support to the Ministry of Transportation through spatial analysis by developing an interactive map of RUS' program stations overlaid with municipal, census, and broadband information while using ArcGIS Pro to geocode station addresses • As an additional part of my internship placement, I temporarily worked on assignment with the Program Data Analytics Unit in the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services to support the ongoing transition of the enterprise system for administering transfer payments.

I communicated with a team of volunteers to manage magazine distribution and was responsible for creating monthly reports for the editor-in-chief, produced from the collected data, reporting readership rates by day/week/ location, comparisons to previous years' trends, as well as reporting on any concerns and suggestions to improve magazines consumption.

During my summer placement with the Youth Justice Division, I performed various tasks including data extraction, validation, and data quality analysis of provincial data pertaining to the Youth Justice Criminal Act, identifying trends in sentenced youth admission rates. I also utilized MS Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot) and Power BI to create interactive dashboards to present data, previously stored in Excel spreadsheets spanning over 5+ years.
