Planning • Take part in audit entry meetings with the audit client • Develop and complete the system description within agreed time frames. • Liaise with the client to obtain relevant information necessary for planning and execution of audit assignments, • Document or update the system flow in line with the Department’s processes. • Taking Minutes of the Opening Meeting with the Client, • Assist with Preparation of Audit Programmes, • Assist in documenting the following (Audit Planning Memorandum, Notification Letter, engagement letter) Execution • Execute the audit procedures as directed by the approved audit program. • Gather and Collect Evidence to Ensure That Audit Findings Are Supported by Adequate and Substantive Evidence. • Reference The Audit Working Papers in Line with The Approved Internal Audit Methodology, • Complete audit execution working papers and file audit evidence to support Audit findings. Reporting • Draft informal audit queries and discussed them with the client. • Draft the internal audit draft report for review by supervisor. • Take part during exit meetings (Present findings and take minutes) • Conduct ad-hoc assignments as per management requests. • Conducted the follow ups of the previous audit reports Follow up the implementation of audit • Assist in Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and perform follow up audit after the implementation dates to confirm that audit recommendations have been addressed Administrative Functions • Perform Admin Tasks Where Necessary E.G. Forwarding Submissions to Other Directorates
