Started with a four month contract period which was an extension of the internship and involved only about 20% of the Microsoft 4Afrika SkillsLab programme participants and moved on to be a full time role. Involved hands- on experience in data analytics and science in which various tools such as Azure storage, SQL Server Management System, Databricks, PySpark, Power BI, Azure virtual machines, Vaex and Git were used for data acquisition, cleansing, analysis, exploration and visualization in order to make data driven decisions and meet consumers' needs. Also learnt about data governance and privacy on the job.

In line with the goal of the program, was a part of a learning process within a sub group containing dfata Science enthusiasts where I picked up skills and earned certifications in Cloud Computing, Data Science and AI Engineering. Was also one of the two leaders within the team which involved fixing favorable meeting and group study times and also served as an intermediary between the team and our mentor for feedback, questions and concerns.
