Assistant Manager

Started out with Fopp as a Seasonal Sales Assistant in November 2005, being the only seasonal employee to be kept on after the Christmas period. I then worked my way up to Supervisor and then my current position of Assistant Manager. During this time I also worked as part of the team involved in the opening of the original Fopp stores in Cumbernauld and Clydebank, working with the then Regional Manager setting up the stores for trading and coaching new staff on the store systems and customer service. Duties throughout this time have included; - Customer service which has been the main focus, engaging staff to provide customers with service individual to each customers needs. - Coaching staff and training them to further develop their careers from Sales Assistants to Supervisors. - Working with P&L's and stock budgets as well as daily use of KPI's - Merchandising and ordering stock. - Opening/closing the store. - Cashing up and dealing with end of month accounts. - Monthly store rota. - Booking in and processing of stock. - Staff training for all new members of staff throughout the year, and Seasonal staff for Christmas. - Managing performance
