Business Intelligence Developer

- Serve as a business intelligence analyst and developer for risk professionals within Technology and Operations Services (TOS) Risk Management and Compliance Division (RMC). - Experience exploring relational databases and performing SQL queries to extract data for analysis using MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. - Proficient understanding of several different data manipulation and cleansing tools including Alteryx, Tableau Prep, and Power BI Power Query. - Continuously optimize reporting solutions to follow industry best practices, improve run times, scalability, and end user interactivity. - Create interactive, dynamic, and automated reporting using Tableau and Power BI, currently saving our customers 57 FTE hours a month creating manual reports. - Administrative experience managing Tableau Server and Power BI Service environments which house all of my team's production reports. - Developed an end-to-end solution pulling Microsoft Outlook meeting information into a SharePoint Online list, using Power Automate, for automated Power BI reporting. End product provided storage, management, and visualization of key meetings on a daily basis throughout the year. Business partners estimate that the solution saves 10 FTE hours a month manually creating meeting reports. - Coordinated with risk managers to create a business PowerApp solution for accurate and efficient risk triaging, simplifying an previously inefficient process while migrating their data into the cloud for automated Power BI reporting. - Designed and implemented project plans to migrate production reports from tools such as Tableau and Tableau Prep over to solutions such as Alteryx Designer and Power BI; further optimizing my team's reporting, and automating report refreshes.

SPS Commerce | Sep 2020 - Dec 2020

Data Science Externship

- Worked on a small team of undergraduate data scientists to develop a priority list of customers for SPS Commerce to approach. - Consulted with SPS Commerce stakeholders to establish project objectives and outcomes: growing customer connections, retaining customer relationships, and mitigating customer relationships outside of SPS Commerce. - Developed R-code capable of smoothly carrying out 10,000 API batch requests in a span of 35 minutes. - Leveraged TIDYVERSE packages to clean and wrangle data for analyses. - Orchestrated multiple clustering methodologies and evaluated each to determine the optimal method, as well as optimal number of clusters, for grouping data. - Worked directly on interfacing R-programming language in Power BI. Well versed in utilizing DPLYR to manipulate data into any format, and in creating exceptional visualizations via Power BI or GGPLOT. - Delivered presentation on the analysis to the to a manager and VP from the company.

- Developed a Tableau dashboard that automates tracking and reporting on software owner annual compliance to enterprise policies, slashing 8-10 hours off manual auditing monthly. - Deployed a second Tableau dashboard that automates tracking and reporting on software owner on-boarding compliance to enterprise policies, cutting 5 hours off manual auditing monthly. - Guided discussions toward restructuring of the TOS Tableau Server environment containing hundreds of workbooks and dozens of access groups, resulting in improved content management, access provisioning, and internal tracking of projects throughout their life cycle. - Delivered a Microsoft Power App that optimized the aggregation of Advanced Analytics and Reporting team metrics, driving informed decision making for TOS leadership. - Improved my Agile methodology comprehension while completing projects in support of the enterprise’s Technology and Operation Services Risk Compliance and Management division.
