CLSA

IT Consultant

Development, support and business analysis of data applications within IT Data team in CLSA. My duties included: - Technical support of CITIC Securities Brokerage (CSB) CRM KPI calculation for CSB clients and sales managers. - Business analysis and development of Risk management service using the data from Calypso System Database. - Create data pipeline for the transportation of data between CLSA Hong Kong and CITICS in Mainland China - Maintenance of data loader for centralizing data from different applications within CLSA to Data Team's database Main achievements: - Upgrading the data loader to parse the man made excel and csv files from CLSA Treasury and load the parsed data to data team database such that CITICS Treasury in Beijing can view the data in CLSA data team's database directly. Technology: Java Spring boot, Python scripting, SQL scripting, Ansible scripting , Bash scripting, Jenkins, Docker - Upgrade the Counterparty reference data (CRD) loader of CSB to load the HKBCAN data to CRD database so as to complying with the new regulations of HKSFC. Technology: Java, SQL scripting - Develop the client id mapping which contains mapping information of all the counter party that have traded with CLSA for different equities or derivatives to prevent wrong way risk. Technology: Python, SQL scripting - Business analysis of real time position calculation for equity, future, bonds and portfolio swap. More than 100000 positions of different instruments related to FICC and EQD are reconstructed in near real time manner. Knowledge gained: Financial derivatives, Kafka - Develop the morning check email service for the monitoring of Rundeck and Cloudera Manager Software. Reducing the time of doing morning support of Data team's teammates from 10 minutes to just a few seconds looking at the email notice. Technology: Python scripting, Bash scripting, Ansible scripting, Jenkins, Docker, Jinja2 templating
