Admissions Counselor & Recruiter

Evaluate applications, transcripts, and other documents for prospective students. Manage relationship with local community colleges and high school territories. Facilitate parent and student workshops, presentations, and college fairs. Coordinate recruitment events and programs with campus partners. Advise students on admissions eligibility, course registration, and career decisions in 1-on-1 meetings. Meet with on and off-campus partners to assess needs of their population. Assistant Coordinator of Residential Education

Oversaw four housing communities comprised of 1,600 students. Supervised and trained 10 Resident Advisors. Co-supervised a Graduate Residential Coordinator and a Senior Community Advisor. Participated in an emergency, on-call rotation with seven other professional staff members. Investigated and adjudicated conduct cases that ranged from warnings to removal from housing. Developed and implemented training for 100 Student Assistants, twice a year. Planned, marketed, and implemented a large-scale event for a community of 1,600 residential students. Assisted with the oversight of 4 Living Learning Communities and 1 Themed Community. Created and analyzed assessment reports on housing data utilizing various computer software. Developed and presented informational housing presentations to incoming students during orientation. Co-managed an event budget of 18,000 dollars. Served as the advisor for the National Residence Hall Honorary and Residence Hall Association.

Bard College at Simon's Rock | Aug 2015 - Jun 2017

Residence Director

Oversaw a gender-specific residential building of 50 first-year students. Participated in an on-call duty rotation with six other Residence Directors for a campus of 350 students. Supervised 2 Peer Advocates. Developed training for 12 Peer Advocates, twice a year. Planned and participated in an intensive first-year student orientation before each semester. Managed a budget of 2,000 dollars. Assisted the students’ academic advisors with any concerns and seeing them through to resolution. Managed medical and psychological emergencies in conjunction with Health and Counseling Services. Coordinated the Peer Advocate recruitment and hiring process. Served as the Weekend Activities Coordinator.
