As the Project Owner, I collaborated with key stakeholder departments, including Quality Control, Finance, and Planning. I developed an Excel-based cost accounting tool designed to facilitate quarterly allocation of intercompany transactions. To achieve this, I analyzed cost drivers within the Quality Control environment and examined SAP inventory flows for chemicals between the Leiden and Cork facilities. I then visualized the data flow and calculations using Visio, ensuring clear presentation and design for effective communication. The insights gleaned from this project served as the foundation for the Lean GreenBelt project, "Raw Material Productivity Improvement.

Internship, sub-department Material Planning (Global Planning)

As a Project Member in the GreenBelt Lean Six Sigma project titled "Lab Replenishment," my primary objective was to optimize the replenishment of lab materials in Quality Control laboratories. During my internship, I successfully enhanced the inventory management by refining the Kanban two-bin system. I began by conducting a thorough inventory analysis of the existing situation and proceeded to establish a new, comprehensive database. Utilizing Excel, I created a sophisticated Kanban database tool with a user- friendly visual interface, streamlining the process of printing Kanban Cards. I implemented this tool and the physical Kanban Cards, resulting in a more efficient inventory management system. Additionally, I developed and instituted a standardized 'Lab-material request form' to facilitate seamless communication and maintenance of the Kanban database tool. Aside from these accomplishments, I integrated KPIs into an existing Excel tracking sheet tool to bolster process control and performance monitoring.
