Throughout my enrollment in this 12-week immersive data science program, I have generated foundational expertise in all facets of statistics, machine learning, programming, communication, and design. My strongest contributions include conceptualizing, developing, and executing five complex, full stack analytics projects. ~ Twitch Streamer Recommender Engine; Queried Twitch API streaming data using AWS and Amazon RDS; built a comprehensive recommender system for streamers on the platform to promote channel growth and increase viewership. Deployed app to demonstrate the recommender at work. ~ Game of Thrones Sentiment Analysis Using Natural Language Processing Techniques; Utilized Tableau, VADER algorithm, and PyLDAviz tools to facilitate the production of detailed fan reaction timelines and episode breakdowns; sourced and synthesized data from four distinct digital platforms. ~ Predicting the Outcome of Kickstarter Campaigns with Classification Algorithms; Developed model for predicting the outcome of Kickstarter campaign success based on all available details during campaign launch; used creators' needs as the driving factor to help Kickstarter attract more promising projects. Evaluated 8 modeling algorithms, with XGBoost emerging as the best model with AUC of 0.79 and a precision score of 0.72 for the "success" class. Developed predictor Flask app available on Heroku. ~ Predicting Movie Success Based on Source Book Success; Evaluated correlation between ratings of corresponding books and films, crafting several linear and ridge regularization regression models to determine predictive variables. Used Selenium scraping and Goodreads API to acquire data and refined processes with k-means cluster analysis.

At this position, I managed the operations and financing for an innovative studio that organizes weekend blockbuster LARP events. I was tasked with coordinating all stages of these events, from locating venues and creating marketing/promotional materials to managing relations with our vendors. By promoting through social media and google ads, I was able to launch a novel live-action role-playing event with over 100 fully engaged and satisfied attendees. Selected Contributions: ~ Coordinated the company launch; a premier weekend-long event for over 50 attendees generating $40K in revenue. The second annual event in 2019 attracted over 70 attendees and over $60K in revenue. ~ Developed collaborative event with five studios in Atlantic City; created larger partnerships and increased industry visibility. ~ Created award-winning role-playing game written for a prestigious convention competition, delivered within the strict 24-hour deadline.
