Most documentation is generated from Model Based System Engineering models within MagicDraw. Document and manage all open issues within JIRA. All data and documentation storage and change management were done within Siemens Teamcenter. Responsible for the creation, accuracy, and management of all Functional Safety documentation according to ISO 26262 and ZF Processes. This covered all commodities for Division R (Seat Belt Systems, Inflatable Restraints Systems & Steering Wheel Systems). Mechanical as well as Functional Safety cases were reviewed. All reports were documented via Verification Reviews and were further reviewed with assigned Safety Assessors. Designed and developed mechanical components for motor vehicle lithium-ion battery packs. Documented EV Battery Pack benchmarking activities for North America. Performed patent searches against proposed designs. Used Power BI to manage EV vehicle benchmarking database. Created reports and dashboards containing EV specific data. Components included: aluminum die cast housings, plastic connectors, sheet metal covers, PCB’s, sil pads, silicone potting and Taptite screws.

Component Engineer

Managed the development and application of all DC, stepper motor and vacuum actuators supplied to the U.S. division of Valeo. These actuators were used on HVAC units supplied to GM, Chrysler, and Freightliner vehicles. Directed supplier on actuator design requirements including: internal gear design, DC motor design, stepper motor design, ASIC types and PCB content.
