Chandra was previously the Data Officer at US Central Command and the Deputy Chief Data Officer for the US Army. She is the co-author of the children's educational novel, The Data Detective.

Amy is currently the Deputy Chief Data and AI Officer and Statistical Official of the Department of State. Amy's work focuses on strategic vision for data, statistics, and AI to facilitate insights and decision-making. Before joining the Department of State, Amy served as the Deputy Chief of the Office of Performance and Quality at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services where she ran forecasting for resource allocation, and statistical reporting on immigration benefits. She earned a DHS Secretary’s Award for promoting transparency and open data. Previously, Amy ran several research divisions across US government departments.
