Een tweetalig woordenboek meenemen op je Europese vakantie of er een op je bureau houden voor je huiswerk vreemde talen is verleden tijd. Je gaat gewoon online en gebruikt een vertaaldienst om snel te snappen wat er op een verkeersbord staat of hoe je iemand in een andere taal begroet en bedankt. Achter die vertaaldiensten zitten complexe Machine Translation-modellen. Heb je je ooit afgevraagd hoe die modellen werken? In deze cursus duik je in de binnenkant van een Machine Translation-model. Je gebruikt Keras, een krachtige deep learning-bibliotheek voor Python, om een vertaalmodel te bouwen. Vervolgens train je het model om van Engels naar Frans te vertalen, en leer je technieken om je model te verbeteren. Aan het einde van deze cursus heb je een grondig begrip van Machine Translation-modellen en waardeer je ze nog meer!
