강의
An AI agent is a program that uses a large language model to decide its own next step, call tools such as search or a database, and keep going until a task is done. That loop is what separates an agent from a chatbot, and it is the skill most AI job adverts now ask for by name.
The trouble is that agent courses split along very different lines. Some teach the concepts with no code, some teach one framework such as LangGraph or Google ADK, and some teach coding agents like Claude Code that you use rather than build.
This guide sorts our AI agent courses by what you want to do, gives the verified rating and learner count for each, and names the outside courses that do a job better than ours.
Course ratings, review counts and learner numbers last verified .

Best AI Agent Courses for Beginners
The best AI agent course for beginners explains how an agent plans, picks a tool and checks its own output, without asking you to write code first.
1. Introduction to AI Agents
Our Introduction to AI Agents covers what agents are, the parts they are built from, and where they are used today, with no coding required.
- Level: Beginner
- Time: 2 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Anyone who needs the vocabulary before choosing a framework
It is our most-taken agent course by a wide margin, with 143,431 learners and 25,628 reviews according to the course page. The size of that review base is the reason to trust its 4.8/5 score.
Because there is no code, it suits product managers and analysts as much as engineers. Developers will move through it in an afternoon and should treat it as a map, not the destination.
2. AI Agent Fundamentals
Our AI Agent Fundamentals track wraps the course above in a 3-course, 6-hour path that starts with AI at work and ends with scaling agents.
- Level: Beginner
- Time: 6 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription
- Best for: Non-technical learners who want a complete beginner path
The track adds Introduction to AI for Work before the agents course and Building Scalable Agentic Systems after it. The rating shown is weighted across those 3 courses, since the track page alone carries only 27 reviews.
3. Google: Introduction to AI Agents
Google's own Google: Introduction to AI Agents course, which we host, is a 1-hour overview of how agents reason and act.
- Level: Beginner
- Time: 1 hour
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Teams that already work in Google Cloud
It is shorter and lighter than our own introduction, with 329 reviews behind its rating. Take it if you plan to build on Google ADK later, since it uses the same terms.
Our pick: Start with our Introduction to AI Agents. If you want a full path with a defined end, take the AI Agent Fundamentals track instead.
Best AI Agent Courses With LangChain and LangGraph
LangChain is the most widely used Python framework for LLM apps, and LangGraph is its library for agents that loop, branch and hand work to each other.
1. Developing LLM Applications with LangChain
Our Developing LLM Applications with LangChain teaches the prompts, chains and first agents that every later LangChain course assumes.
- Level: Intermediate
- Time: 3 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Python users new to LangChain
With 51,313 learners, it is the most-taken course on this page after the beginner introduction. Skip it only if you already build chains in LangChain.
2. Designing Agentic Systems with LangChain
Our Designing Agentic Systems with LangChain moves from chains to agents, covering the components of a LangChain agent and how to build custom chat agents.
- Level: Intermediate
- Time: 3 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Developers building their first working agent
This is where most learners write an agent that calls its own tools. Its content was refreshed in Jul 2026, which matters in a framework that changes as often as LangChain does.
3. Multi-Agent Systems with LangGraph
Our Multi-Agent Systems with LangGraph applies agentic design patterns in LangGraph, so that several agents can split and pass work between them.
- Level: Advanced
- Time: 3 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Developers who already have a single agent working
At 4.9/5 from 829 reviews, it is the highest-rated course in this guide with more than 500 reviews. It is also the hardest, so take the two courses above first.
4. Introduction to LangGraph (LangChain Academy)
LangChain's own free course teaches LangGraph from the people who maintain it.
- Level: Intermediate
- Time: Self-paced
- Cost: Free
- Best for: Developers who want the framework authors' view
It goes deeper into LangGraph internals than a general course can, and it is free. It assumes you already know Python and LangChain, and it has no in-browser exercises, so you set up your own environment.
Our pick: Take our Designing Agentic Systems with LangChain, then Multi-Agent Systems with LangGraph. Add LangChain Academy if you want the maintainers' own deep dive afterwards.
Best AI Agent Courses for Other Frameworks
Outside LangChain, the agent frameworks worth learning are Google ADK, Hugging Face smolagents, CrewAI and LlamaIndex, and each one suits a different kind of project.
1. Building AI Agents with Google ADK
Our Building AI Agents with Google ADK builds a customer-support assistant step by step with Google's Agent Development Kit.
- Level: Intermediate
- Time: 1 hour
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Teams deploying on Google Cloud
At 1 hour it is the quickest framework course here, and 7,588 learners have taken it. For more depth, our Develop Agents with Agent Development Kit (ADK) track adds 5 Google-built ADK courses.
2. AI Agents with Hugging Face smolagents
Our AI Agents with Hugging Face smolagents teaches agents that reason and act by writing and running Python code.
- Level: Advanced
- Time: 3 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Developers who want lightweight, open-model agents
smolagents keeps the agent loop small enough to read in full, which makes it a good way to see what heavier frameworks hide. It is rated Advanced, so expect to be comfortable in Python.
3. Building AI Agents with CrewAI
Our Building AI Agents with CrewAI builds teams of agents with assigned roles that work together to automate a workflow.
- Level: Intermediate
- Time: 1 hour
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Role-based agent teams for content and workflow automation
We do not show a rating here because the course has 113 reviews, under our 200-review threshold. It has 1,550 learners and takes 1 hour.
4. Building Agentic Workflows with LlamaIndex
Our Building Agentic Workflows with LlamaIndex builds workflows that can plan, search, remember and collaborate, using LlamaIndex.
- Level: Advanced
- Time: 2 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Agents that work over your own documents
It has 75 reviews, so we leave the rating out. Pick it over CrewAI if your agent needs to search and reason across a document collection.
5. Multi AI Agent Systems with crewAI (DeepLearning.AI)
A free short course from DeepLearning.AI, taught by the creator of CrewAI.
- Level: Beginner
- Time: A few hours
- Cost: Free
- Best for: Trying CrewAI before committing to it
It is a fast, free introduction from the framework's author. Video lessons with notebooks suit a quick look, though there are fewer graded exercises than in our course.
Our pick: Choose by your stack. Take our Building AI Agents with Google ADK if you deploy on Google Cloud, or AI Agents with Hugging Face smolagents if you want to understand the agent loop from the inside.
Best AI Agent Courses for MCP and Tool Use
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard for connecting an agent to tools, APIs, databases and files, so you write each connection once rather than per agent.
1. Introduction to Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Our Introduction to Model Context Protocol (MCP) shows how to plug AI applications into APIs, databases and filesystems through MCP.
- Level: Intermediate
- Time: 3 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Developers whose agent needs real data and actions
An agent is only as useful as the tools it can reach, and MCP is how most of them now reach tools. The course was refreshed in Jun 2026 and is part of our AI Engineer for Developers track.
2. Building Scalable Agentic Systems (ours)
Our Building Scalable Agentic Systems explains what it takes to run agents across an organisation, using MCP and the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol.
- Level: Beginner
- Time: 2 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free
- Best for: Architects and leads planning more than one agent
It is a Beginner-level, 2-hour course with 3,524 reviews, so it suits people who design systems as well as those who code them.
Our pick: Take our Introduction to Model Context Protocol (MCP) if you build agents. Take Building Scalable Agentic Systems if you plan how several of them fit together.
Best Courses for Coding Agents
A coding agent is an AI agent that reads your codebase, edits files and runs commands for you, and Claude Code is the one our courses teach.
1. Claude Code 101
Our Claude Code 101 shows how to use Claude Code in daily development work.
- Level: Beginner
- Time: 3 hours
- Cost: Included in a DataCamp subscription, first chapter free

How We Chose These Courses
We started from our full course and track catalogue and kept every course that teaches agents, agent frameworks, agent tooling or coding agents. Learner counts, hours, level and last content update come from our public course API, and ratings and review counts come from the structured data on each public course page, all checked on 9 October 2026.
We do not show a star rating backed by fewer than 200 reviews, and we say so where it applies. We left out any course with no content update in the last 18 months, and every course here was updated in 2025 or 2026.
Track ratings are a review-weighted average across the courses each track contains, because track pages carry very few reviews of their own. Track learner figures show the most-taken course in the track rather than a sum, which would count the same person twice.
For outside courses we have no verified rating or enrolment data, so we describe them in prose and do not give them a stat strip. We named outside courses where they do a job better than ours, as in the free course section.
Final Thoughts
The right AI agent course depends on where you start. Beginners should take Introduction to AI Agents. Python developers can try Designing Agentic Systems with LangChain. anyone who wants an agent writing their code should start with Claude Code 101.
Whichever framework you pick, learn MCP next, because it is how agents reach real tools. Our Introduction to Model Context Protocol (MCP) will help.
