Wie lange dauert es, bis nach einer Exposition Grippesymptome auftreten? Und was ist, wenn man nicht weiß, wann sich die Menschen mit dem Virus angesteckt haben? Haben das Gehalt und die Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und Familie einen Einfluss auf die Mitarbeiterfluktuationsrate? Bei vielen realen Herausforderungen ist eine Überlebenszeitanalyse (engl. survival analysis) erforderlich, um die Zeit bis zu einem Ereignis zuverlässig zu schätzen, damit wir Erkenntnisse aus der Verteilung der Zeit bis zum Ereignis (engl. time to event) ziehen können. In diesem Kurs lernst du die grundlegenden Konzepte der Überlebenszeitanalyse kennen. Durch praktische Aufgaben lernst du, wie du Überlebenskurven mit den Modellen von Kaplan-Meier, Weibull und Cox berechnest, visualisierst, interpretierst und vergleichst. Am Ende dieses Kurses wirst du in der Lage sein, Überlebensverteilungen zu modellieren, hübsche Diagramme von Überlebenskurven zu erstellen und sogar Überlebensdauern vorherzusagen.
