Laurence Liew

Director of AI Innovation at AI Singapore

Laurence is the Director for AI Innovation at AI Singapore where he drives the adoption of AI by the Singapore ecosystem through the 100 Experiments, Makerspace and AI Apprenticeship programs. A visionary and serial technopreneur, Laurence has worked on identifying and introducing Singapore's enterprises to various innovative technologies such as Linux and Open Source, High Performance Computing, Grid Computing, Cloud Computing and more. Laurence graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with First Class Honours in Engineering and holds a Masters in Knowledge Engineering from NUS, and holds a variety of pro-bono appointments in the public and private sectors.

Koo Sengmeng

Senior Deputy Director of AI Innovation at AI Singapore

Sengmeng is the Senior Deputy Director for AI Innovation at AI Singapore. Prior to AI Singapore, Sengmeng has over a decade of experience in the info-communication and media (ICM) industry and was part of Singapore Public Service in 2012, where his team shaped the billion-dollar Asia Pacific games industry for Singapore and roll out industry-firsts programs. Sengmeng regularly contributes to the technology ecosystem. He holds official appointments in PDPC AI Governance Roundtable, IEEE AI Standards Committee, and ISO SC42. He co-founded AI Professionals Association in 2020 and holds advisory positions in Singapore Computer Society, Serious Games Association, and Chulalongkorn University Technology Center. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1998 and holds a Masters in Technology Management with specialization in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
