Course Description

Plan Networks That Scale

The architecture decisions you make early on shape the security, performance, and cost of everything you build later. This third course in the Networking in Google Cloud series shows you how to design efficient, scalable network architectures in Google Cloud.

Explore Core Components and Topologies

You’ll start with the core components of network architecture, including subnets, routes, firewalls, and load balancing. Then you’ll compare the network topologies most commonly used in Google Cloud, weighing their strengths and weaknesses, and implement a hub-and-spoke topology yourself.

Visualize, Troubleshoot, and Optimize

In the final part of the course, you’ll learn to visualize, troubleshoot, and optimize Google Cloud networks, and apply best practices for designing and managing networks in cloud-only, multicloud, and hybrid environments. By the end, you’ll be able to analyze the key trade-offs in a network design and choose an architecture that balances scalability, security, performance, and cost.
