We at Code to Inspire are thrilled to spotlight Saghar Hazinyar, one of our talented coding graduates and a proud recipient of a DataCamp Donates scholarship. Saghar embodies resilience, determination, and the pursuit of knowledge—qualities that have propelled her forward in a challenging environment. For her, every obstacle presents an opportunity, and she remains dedicated to making the most of each chance that comes her way.

Saghar recently completed a SQL course on DataCamp, which she credits with greatly enhancing her database skills. Reflecting on her journey, she shared:

I recently completed a SQL course on DataCamp, which significantly strengthened my database skills. I also explored courses on ChatGPT and prompt engineering, gaining valuable insights into using AI tools more effectively. Learning with DataCamp has been an incredible experience, equipping me with practical skills that I can apply to my personal projects, from coding and database management to creating an individual portfolio.”

For Afghan girls like Saghar, opportunities like the DataCamp scholarship are more than just educational resources—they are lifelines. In a time when access to education is restricted for girls in Afghanistan, such scholarships provide vital pathways for growth, learning, and professional empowerment. These opportunities not only help young women acquire skills they can use in real-world applications but also empower them to dream bigger, build brighter futures, and contribute meaningfully to their communities and society at large.

At Code to Inspire, we’re incredibly proud of our students who excelled in the DataCamp Donates Group Portfolio Challenge. Their success not only earned them DataCamp coupons and financial awards to further their education, but it has also opened doors to jobs, internships, and even admissions into bachelor’s programs in computer science. These achievements highlight the transformative power of DataCamp’s support, which helps our students build confidence, expand their skills, and take meaningful steps toward fulfilling careers in tech.

As the founder and executive director of Code to Inspire, I am profoundly grateful to DataCamp for providing this scholarship for our students. In a country where women and girls are deprived of their basic human rights, including access to education, DataCamp is not only offering equal opportunities for girls in Afghanistan to pursue their studies but also helping to bridge the digital divide in education and technology. By equipping these young women with critical skills, DataCamp is empowering them to unlock new career paths and build brighter futures despite the challenges they face.

We are excited to announce the renewal of our partnership with DataCamp for another year. With the ongoing support of DataCamp Donates, we’re thrilled to build on our successes from last year and expand our impact by offering more targeted learning paths, personalized guidance, and valuable certification opportunities. We look forward to another year of transforming lives and advancing digital literacy for Afghan women and girls through this meaningful partnership.
