Most companies now have AI agents somewhere in the building: a Copilot Studio agent answering HR questions, a developer team wiring tools into an LLM, a marketing workflow that runs on its own overnight. Yet the training rarely keeps up.

Staff who use agents need to know when to trust them, and the people who build them need hands-on practice with the frameworks they will ship.

This ranking is for L&D leads, HR teams, and engineering managers choosing AI agents training for employees in 2026.

I compared 8 providers on hands-on practice, coverage across roles, current agent frameworks, admin reporting, and cost. If you are buying broader AI training rather than agent-specific courses, our ranking of the best corporate AI training providers covers that separately.

One date matters for EU employers: under the European Commission's AI literacy guidance, Article 4 of the EU AI Act has applied since 2 February 2025, and national authorities began supervision and enforcement on 2 August 2026.

AI Agent training is one of the clearest ways to show that the people operating AI systems understand them.

How These Providers Were Evaluated

This ranking scores each provider on 5 criteria.

  • Hands-on practice: Do employees build and run agents in exercises or labs, or mostly watch videos about them?
  • Coverage across roles: Can the same provider train staff who use agents and engineers who build them, or only one group?
  • Current frameworks: Do the courses teach the tools teams use in 2026, such as LangGraph, CrewAI, Google ADK, Copilot Studio, and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore?
  • Admin and reporting: Can L&D assign content, track progress by team, and connect SSO and the LMS?
  • Cost and commitment: What is the published team price, what is free, and how many seats or months must you commit to?

We weighted hands-on practice and coverage across roles most heavily, since agent projects fail as often on the users' side as on the builders'. Cost breaks ties, and free vendor academies score well on it but narrowly on coverage. We read every price, feature, and course title on each provider's own pages in October 2026.

1. DataCamp for Business - Best for Training Every Role on AI Agents

DataCamp for Business is our team plan: self-paced courses and tracks with hands-on exercises in the browser, plus the admin tools to assign and track them. As of October 2026, 80% of the Fortune 1000 use DataCamp. Our agent catalog runs from a no-code introduction for any employee to multi-agent systems for engineers.

Where DataCamp for Business is strongest

Why it ranks #1: We rank DataCamp for Business first because it is the only provider here that trains agent users and agent builders on one contract, with hands-on exercises in every course. Staff can start with Introduction to AI Agents while engineers move on to Multi-Agent Systems with LangGraph, and admins track both from the same dashboard.

2. Microsoft Learn - Good for Teams Building Agents in Copilot Studio and Azure

Microsoft Learn is the obvious free pick when your agents live in Copilot Studio or Azure. Its Create agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio and Develop AI agents on Azure learning paths cost nothing, and admins can bundle them into Plans with milestones and email nudges.

Plans let you invite individuals or groups and track progress, with a summary and a downloadable detailed report. For proof of skill, the Build an agent in Microsoft Copilot Studio Applied Skills assessment runs in an interactive lab, and the AI Agent Builder Associate certification (exam AB-620) sits above it.

Microsoft Training Services Partners deliver tailored team programs when you want instructor-led sessions on top of the free content.

Where it costs you: Microsoft retired the Learn sandboxes, so exercises now need your own Azure subscription. The content covers Microsoft products only, which leaves out teams building on LangGraph, CrewAI, or another cloud.

  • Cost: Free
  • Format: Self-paced modules and learning paths, plus instructor-led courses and lab-based Applied Skills assessments (exercises need your own Azure subscription; Learn sandboxes retired)
  • Agent training: Develop AI agents on Azure (learning path), Create agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio (learning path), Course AB-620T00-A: Design and build integrated AI agent solutions in Copilot Studio, Microsoft Applied Skills: Build an agent in Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Certified: AI Agent Builder Associate

3. Google Skills - Good for Hands-on Agent Labs on Google Cloud

Google Skills, formerly Google Cloud Skills Boost, has the best free agent labs if you build on Google Cloud.

Google Skills for Organizations offers nearly 3K AI courses and labs at no cost, with unlimited licenses, assignments, and real-time reporting dashboards.

The Agentic AI on Google Cloud path covers multi-agent architectures with the Agent Development Kit, and Build Your First Agent with Agent Development Kit (ADK) is an introductory course of 1 hour 15 minutes.

Challenge labs run in a real Google Cloud environment, not a simulation, and passing them earns skill badges.

Content is available in 15+ languages, which helps global teams, and the badges feed into preparation for Google Cloud certifications.

Where it costs you: Everything centers on Google Cloud and ADK, so it does not help teams on Azure, AWS, or vendor-neutral frameworks. Most labs assume developers, which leaves non-technical staff with little to start on.

  • Cost: Free
  • Format: Self-paced courses, learning paths and hands-on labs in a real Google Cloud console, with challenge labs that award skill badges
  • Agent training: Agentic AI on Google Cloud (learning path), Develop Agents with Agent Development Kit (ADK) (learning path), Build Your First Agent with Agent Development Kit (ADK) (course), Engineer AI Agents with Agent Development Kit (ADK) (skill badge course), Deploy an Agent with Agent Development Kit (ADK): Challenge Lab

4. AWS Skill Builder - Good for Teams Building Agents on AWS

AWS Skill Builder is the right fit for engineering teams shipping agents on Amazon Bedrock. Its Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Getting Started training shows how to build and run agents on AWS, and the AWS Agentic AI Demonstrated microcredential checks the configuration of AgentCore Runtime, Gateway, and Memory in a hands-on assessment.

Two newer microcredentials, AWS Securing Agent Identities Demonstrated and AWS Databases for Agentic AI Demonstrated, are free with no subscription required, and passing earns a Credly badge.

The Team subscription adds an administrator dashboard, curated learning plans, reporting, optional SSO, and Cohorts Studio for running AI bootcamps.

AWS Jam events, with live leaderboards, are a useful way to turn a cohort's training into a team exercise.

Where it costs you: The Team subscription is $449 per seat, billed annually, with a 5-seat minimum, and AWS Classroom Training is not included. The content covers AWS only, so it suits builders rather than the wider workforce.

  • Cost: $449 per seat, billed annually, 5-seat minimum (Team subscription)
  • Format: Self-paced digital courses and learning plans, hands-on labs, game-based learning (AWS Cloud Quest, SimuLearn) and timed hands-on microcredential assessments
  • Agent training: Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Getting Started, AWS Agentic AI Demonstrated (microcredential), AWS Securing Agent Identities Demonstrated (microcredential), AWS Databases for Agentic AI Demonstrated (microcredential)

5. Pluralsight - Good for Engineering Teams That Want Sandboxes and Skill Assessments

If you're not choosing DataCamp, Pluralsight is a good pick when the audience is mostly developers who need agent skills, next to cloud and certification prep. Its Integrating Agentic AI for Developers path packs 6 courses into 5 hours, including Deploying AI Agents in Production Environments and Integrating AI Agents in Enterprise Systems.

The Agentic AI in Industry path adds 10 shorter courses in 4 hours, and Introduction to Developing AI Agents is a 35-minute intermediate course in Python. Leaders get analytics on users, content, skills, and roles, plus Channels for custom learning plans and API access for bulk team management.

A 14-day free trial is open to teams of 2 to 20, which makes a quick pilot easy to run.

Where it costs you: Self-serve Teams plans start at $399 per user per year, and SSO and LMS data feeds are paid add-ons. The agent content is aimed at engineers, so non-technical staff get little of it.

  • Cost: $399 per user per year (self-serve Teams); Enterprise: contact sales
  • Format: Expert-led video courses and learning paths with hands-on labs, cloud and AI sandboxes, and Skill IQ / Role IQ assessments
  • Agent training: Integrating Agentic AI for Developers (path, 6 courses), Agentic AI in Industry (path, 10 courses), Introduction to Developing AI Agents (course), Deploying AI Agents in Production Environments (course), Integrating AI Agents in Enterprise Systems (course)

6. LinkedIn Learning - Good for Broad AI Aent Awareness

LinkedIn Learning works best for broad awareness when you want every employee to understand agents, not build them. Short courses like AI Agents for Everyday Professionals (48 minutes, no code) and Preparing Your Organization for AI Agents (21 minutes) fit into a working week.

For developers, Agentic AI: Build Your First Agentic AI System runs 1 hour 5 minutes, and Hands-On AI: Building AI Agents with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A) runs 1 hour 40 minutes. The business plan includes 24,000+ courses, LMS and LXP integrations, custom content upload, and AI-powered Learning Plans.

Each course ends in a Certificate of Completion that employees can add to their LinkedIn profile. That suits awareness training, where the goal is a shared vocabulary across departments rather than a working agent.

Where it costs you: LinkedIn Learning publishes no business price, so you need a sales quote. The format is video first, with little hands-on agent building compared with the platforms above.

  • Cost: Quote-only
  • Format: Self-paced on-demand video courses (plus AI coaching/role-play and hands-on practice)
  • Agent training: Agentic AI: Build Your First Agentic AI System (1h 5m, Intermediate), Building AI Agents for Beginners by Microsoft (1h 4m, Beginner), AI Agents for Everyday Professionals: Simple Automations to Speed Up Your Work (No Code Required) (48m, Beginner), Hands-On AI: Building AI Agents with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A) (1h 40m), Preparing Your Organization for AI Agents (21m, Intermediate)

7. Coursera for Business - Good for Certificates From Universities

Coursera for Business is the pick when certificates from universities matter to your people. Its agent catalog includes the Agentic AI and AI Agents for Leaders Specialization from Vanderbilt University.

The Building AI Agents and Agentic Workflows Specialization takes about 4 weeks at 10 hours a week, and Google Cloud's Gen AI Agents course takes 5 hours. Admins can assign role-based learning paths and track progress through skill dashboards, and the Teams plan includes 165+ Professional Certificates.

Enterprise accounts add SSO, API integration, and LTI connections to Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and D2L. They also include AI-powered authoring tools for custom courses and a dedicated customer success manager.

Where it costs you: Coursera for Teams is $399 per user per year, billed annually, and SSO and the LMS integrations are Enterprise-only. Most courses are lecture-led, so expect more video per hour than agent building.

  • Cost: $399 per user per year, billed annually (Coursera for Teams, up to 499 users); Enterprise (500+ users) is quote-only
  • Format: Self-paced online courses, Specializations, Professional Certificates and hands-on Guided Projects/labs
  • Agent training: Agentic AI and AI Agents for Leaders Specialization (Vanderbilt University; 3-course series, Beginner, 4 weeks at 3 hours a week), Building AI Agents and Agentic Workflows Specialization (3-course series, Intermediate, 4 weeks at 10 hours a week), IBM RAG and Agentic AI Professional Certificate (10-course series, Advanced, 8 weeks at 3 hours a week), Gen AI Agents: Transform Your Organization (Google Cloud Training; Beginner, 5 hours), AI Agent Developer Specialization (6-course series, Beginner)

8. General Assembly - Good for Live Workshops

General Assembly is the choice when you want live, instructor-led agent training rather than self-paced courses. Its private team workshops are delivered only to your staff and can be tailored to the tools you are adopting, such as Microsoft Copilot.

The enterprise AI Academy starts with an AI assessment that groups employees by skill level, then covers AI champions and agentic AI in their workflows. The public Build AI Agents course is 32 hours of live training with 16 hands-on lab hours in no-code tools like FlowiseAI and GPT Builder, and it costs $2,950 per person.

Passing a course earns a LinkedIn-verified digital badge, and the shorter AI Agent Discovery workshop is 3 hours of live instruction for $149.

Where it costs you: Team pricing is quote-only, and when we checked, all 3 public agent courses were listed as unavailable with no scheduled dates. Plan on a private workshop if you need a date this quarter.

  • Cost: Quote-only
  • Format: Live instructor-led workshops and live cohort-based online courses; private team workshops for companies
  • Agent training: AI Agent Discovery: Find the Right Use Case (3-hour live online workshop, $149 USD per person), Build AI Agents (Online) course (32 hours, live cohort-based, 16 hands-on lab hours, $2,950 per person), Agentic AI Strategy (Online) course (32 hours, live cohort-based, 16 hands-on lab hours, $2,950 per person), AI champions & agentic AI (module of the AI Academy enterprise program)

G2 scores sit much closer together, since business buyers write most of them: DataCamp's 4.7 leads, ahead of Pluralsight at 4.6, Coursera at 4.5, and General Assembly at 4.4 from only 20 reviews.

Microsoft Learn, Google Skills, AWS Skill Builder, and LinkedIn Learning aren't in the table: Microsoft Learn and Google Skills have only 2 Trustpilot reviews each, while AWS Skill Builder and LinkedIn Learning have no Trustpilot profile. Treat review sites as one signal next to price and format, since they reflect who chooses to leave a review.

6 Questions to Ask Any AI Agents Training Provider

Every provider on this list will say it offers hands-on agent training, so these questions test what that means in practice. Ask them in the first sales call, and ask for a trial account to check the answers yourself.

Do our people build agents in exercises, or only watch someone else do it?

A good answer names the exercises: employees write prompts, connect tools, and run an agent, with each step checked before they move on. We put graded exercises in every course, and Google Skills and AWS Skill Builder run labs in real cloud environments.

Can the same contract train staff who use agents and engineers who build them?

Most agent rollouts need both groups, and buying a second platform doubles the admin work. Ask to see the beginner course a finance or HR employee would take, then the course an engineer would take next.

We cover both on one plan, from a no-code introductory course up to builder courses on LangGraph and CrewAI, while the vendor academies focus on builders.

Which agent frameworks do you teach today, and when was that content last updated?

Agent tools change every few months, so a course from 2024 may teach patterns that teams no longer use. Ask for the update date on each agent course, and check that the frameworks match the ones your engineers have chosen.

Who teaches the courses: trainers, or people who build agents?

Agent courses age fast when the instructor has never shipped one. Ask who wrote each course and whether they work on the framework they teach.

Several of our agent courses come from the vendors themselves: Google Cloud, Microsoft, Anthropic Academy, and a CrewAI developer advocate teach them. A good answer from any provider names people, not a content team.

What will L&D be able to report after 3 months?

A strong answer shows a dashboard with progress by team and role, not only a completions export. Ask whether SSO and LMS integrations are included in the plan you are pricing or sold as add-ons, since that changes the real cost per seat.

Can we show who learned what if a regulator asks?

Under the EU AI Act, Article 4 asks providers and deployers of AI systems to take measures for the AI literacy of staff who operate them. The Commission says there is no mandatory external course or certification, so records of role-based training, completion, and assessment are what you will need to show.

Ask the provider how those records are exported and kept. This is not legal advice.

Suggested Rollout Plan

A phased rollout lets you prove the training works on one team before you buy seats for everyone.

Weeks 1 to 4: a pilot with one business team

Start small on purpose: a pilot with 20 to 50 people tells you more than a company-wide launch with low completion. Pick a team that already uses an agent, such as support or marketing, and assign a no-code introduction like our Introduction to AI Agents. Agree on one thing the team should do differently by the end, such as reviewing an agent's output against a checklist before it reaches a customer.

Months 2 to 3: builders on the frameworks you have chosen

Give engineers courses on the frameworks in your stack, and add the matching vendor academy if your agents run on one cloud. Microsoft Learn and Google Skills are free, and so are the AWS agentic AI microcredentials.

Month 4 onward: the rest of the company

Roll the beginner track out by department, with managers assigning it and L&D reporting progress each month. Keep the records you will need for Article 4 from the first week of the pilot, not from the day someone asks for them.

Final Thoughts

For most companies training employees on AI agents in 2026, DataCamp for Business is the place to start: one plan covers the staff who use agents and the engineers who build them, with hands-on exercises in every course. The honest exceptions are teams that build on one cloud and want free vendor labs, where Microsoft Learn, Google Skills, or AWS Skill Builder fit, and teams that need a live instructor in the room, where General Assembly fits better.

A good first step is a 4-week pilot of Introduction to AI Agents with one business team, then the AI Agent Fundamentals track for those who want more. To see the admin side first, book a demo of DataCamp for Business.

FAQs

What is the best AI agents training for employees?

DataCamp for Business is the best AI agents training for employees for most companies in 2026. One plan covers staff who use agents, starting with the no-code Introduction to AI Agents, and engineers who build them in LangGraph, CrewAI, and Google ADK, with hands-on exercises in every course. Microsoft Learn and Google Skills are the best free options for teams that build on a single vendor's cloud.

How much does AI agents training for employees cost?

Published team prices range from free to a few hundred dollars per seat a year. Microsoft Learn and Google Skills for Organizations are free, our Teams plan is $31 per user per month billed annually, Pluralsight and Coursera for Teams are each $399 per user per year, and the AWS Skill Builder Team subscription is $449 per seat with a 5 seat minimum. LinkedIn Learning and General Assembly quote business prices on request.

Should non-technical employees learn about AI agents?

Yes. Staff who use agents need to know what an agent can do, when to check its output, and what data it should not see, even if they never write code. A short no-code course such as Introduction to AI Agents (2 hours) covers that, and the AI Agent Fundamentals track goes further in 6 hours.

What should developers learn to build AI agents?

Developers should learn one orchestration framework in depth, how to connect tools and memory, and how to test and monitor an agent in production. On DataCamp, Multi-Agent Systems with LangGraph and the AI Engineering with LangChain track cover that path. Teams on one cloud can add the matching vendor academy, such as AWS Skill Builder for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.

How do you measure the ROI of AI agents training?

Pick one outcome per team before the pilot starts, such as hours saved on a workflow an agent now handles, and compare it with the training cost per seat. Track progress and completion by team in the admin dashboard alongside that outcome, since completions alone do not show whether people use agents well.

Does the EU AI Act require AI training for employees?

Article 4 of the EU AI Act asks providers and deployers of AI systems to take measures for the AI literacy of staff who operate them. The European Commission says it has applied since 2 February 2025, with enforcement by national authorities from 2 August 2026, and that no specific external course or certification is mandatory. Keep records of role-based training and completion. This is not legal advice.
