Greetings from the Social Impact Team at DataCamp! We’ve been hard at work brainstorming new ways to democratize data and AI education while listening to feedback from our scholars and partners on how we can improve our existing processes. So, before we say goodbye to 2024, let’s quickly review how we’ve simplified DataCamp Donates to enable more nonprofit organizations and disadvantaged individuals to become data literate in 2025.
Shorter, simpler application forms
We’ve redesigned our DataCamp Donates application forms to prioritize clarity and ease of use. Nonprofits can now complete the process in just a few minutes, with straightforward questions focusing on their mission, beneficiaries, and how they plan to use DataCamp. By removing unnecessary steps and technical jargon, we’ve made it easier than ever for organizations to access the resources they need to empower their teams and communities with data and AI skills. Our New Partnerships Application Form for the Q1 2025 cohort just opened—take five minutes to try it out for yourself!
Our reapplication form, in particular, has received a massive makeover, with a 60% reduction in questions. And our amazing partners are no longer required to book a review meeting with our team. Reapplying to continue your organization’s learning journey is now frictionless and, dare we say, a little fun!
Easier partnership requirements
To make partnerships more accessible, we’ve simplified the DataCamp Donates Partnership Requirements by eliminating barriers that previously deterred some organizations. We now require fewer social media posts, fewer meetings—pretty much less of everything! Whether you’re a small grassroots nonprofit or a large global initiative, the updated process ensures that you only need to meet the most essential requirements. These changes allow us to support a broader range of organizations working toward creating a data-literate world. We now also donate licenses to small-to-medium-sized NGOs solely interested in internal upskilling.
Public list of DC Donates Partner Organizations and individual scholarship application forms
Transparency and accessibility are at the heart of our efforts. We’ve reintroduced a public directory of our most recent, active DataCamp Donates Partner Organizations, showcasing the amazing work they do and how they leverage DataCamp.
For the first time, links to each organization’s individual scholarship application forms are now included, making it painless for students and professionals from underserved communities worldwide to apply directly to the local partner organizations that best suit their needs and benefit from DataCamp’s learning resources.
Improved Support
On top of opening up our list of partner organizations for all to see, we’ve expanded our support channels to ensure that every partner and scholar has the help they need, when they need it. Our Social Impact Team is now more accessible via our contact form, live chat, FAQ, and a new Best Practices Guide for DataCamp Admins to address common queries. Whether it’s requesting a license allotment expansion, troubleshooting access issues, or offering guidance on course selection, we’re here to provide a seamless experience for all our users.
And with the DC Donates Scholar Experience Survey, it’s never been easier to help us collect your learners’ success stories. Just share the link with them and our smart, adaptive form will do the heavy lifting. It’s designed to combat imposter syndrome by being accessible to learners of all backgrounds, skill levels, and English skills. Remember to request a copy of your learners’ submissions by contacting our Support team and including the name of your DataCamp Donates group.
Looking Ahead to a More Data-Literate Future
As we head into 2025, we’re excited to see the impact these changes will have on our community of nonprofits, student clubs, learners, and admins. By simplifying processes, reducing barriers, and enhancing support, we’re making it easier than ever for organizations and individuals to access the tools they need to thrive in a data-driven world.
Until then, stay tuned to this blog for our final update of the year, the Year in Data: Social Impact 2024 report. Whether you’re a returning partner or a first-time applicant, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Together, let’s continue democratizing data and AI education, empowering people everywhere to unlock their full potential.
