Why we’re donating over $10M in scholarships
DataCamp wants to make the world a more data literate place so facts and opportunities are not in short supply. While the Covid-19 pandemic has created new challenges, it has also exacerbated many problems that have historically plagued poorer communities. That’s why we’re allocating free DataCamp subscriptions to learners from all socioeconomic backgrounds who want to learn data skills.
US College enrollment rates have declined every year this past decade
Traditional degrees are becoming more unattainable for more people every year. In 2019, fewer than half of Americans ages 25-35 attained a college degree or higher. DataCamp’s trailblazing education technology is toppling the financial barriers preventing aspiring data scientists from achieving their dreams.

2020 brought an unprecedented spike in global unemployment rates, yet there’s a serious shortage of skilled tech workers to fill the thousands of future-facing jobs requiring data literacy. The reason is simple: a widespread gap in affordable, high-quality data education.

Just like individuals and corporations, nonprofit organizations have been forced to rewrite their financial playbooks. Many nonprofit organizations that act as lifelines for their local communities are facing resource and budget crises.
Less than half of American high schools have computer science programs, and far less teach data science
Schools around the world are struggling to provide accessible, cutting-edge data science education, with the majority still needing to start from the ground up. With public education funding tighter than ever, this can be an insurmountable task for many schools.

Champion nonprofit organizations
We give mainly to organizations that provide students and unemployed/underemployed workers with professional training and networking opportunities free of charge. Many of our partner organizations cater to communities of color, women, refugees, the differently-abled, and/or people who have been negatively impacted by Covid-19. We understand the obstacles facing nonprofits, so we make the application and onboarding process as simple as possible.

DataCamp Donates supports scientific nonprofits dedicated to analyzing and visualizing vital environmental, health, and economic research. Scientists use DataCamp to learn how to draw more accurate conclusions from their data, faster.
